Tile Size
There are a lot of different sizes of tile, from tiny tiles that are included in mosaics to large tiles that many people choose to use as flooring. But before you pick the size of tile that you’re wanting to use, you’re first going to want to think about how you’ll be using the tile and the ultimate look and feel you want to have.
For example, if you’re wanting to tile the floor of your bathroom, you might want to choose smaller tiles that will allow for more grout to be used, thus giving you better traction on the slippery bathroom floor. But if you’re tiling a bathroom wall or shower surround, you might choose larger tiles so that you have less grout to worry about.
Know The Upkeep Required
Another thing you’ll want to think about before you go ahead with your tile installation is what kind of upkeep will be required for the tiles that you choose.
If you’re wanting tiles that require very little maintenance and upkeep, choosing something made of porcelain or ceramic will likely be your best bet. But if you’re okay with having to put a little more effort into keeping your tiles looking great, choosing a natural stone tile might work great for you.
