If you carefully take your time to make a choice, you are much more likely to have a fantastic gourmet experience centred around the atmosphere of the restaurant and the quality of the staff who will be serving you your food and drink. It’s far too easy to stick with what we know, or to settle for what seems like an ‘ok’ venue however, if you want to make the most of your time then there are many factors that need to be considered before selecting a restaurant. Here are a few things you’ll want to chew over before making your choice;
Location
The first point has to be location because, unless you are planning on a trip, not all Caringbah restaurants are easy to get to, you won’t want to be travelling halfway across the world just to get there. In addition, if the meal sizes are larger than you expected then there is every chance that you might feel a bit sleepy on the drive home, so, the closer the better.
If you are going to be driving yourself then it’s always a good idea to check out the parking at the venue before you set off, it’s one thing knowing how long it will take you to get there, quite another when finding a parking space. If you don’t check prior to arriving then it could start your evening the wrong way.
Ambience
Whether or not you realise it, the ambience of the restaurant that you choose will absolutely have an effect on your overall experience. The place might look great and the food could be absolutely delicious however, if the place just doesn’t ‘feel’ right then it may feel like something is missing.
Sometimes people will be more impressed with a restaurant that serves food that is ‘ok’ but has an amazing buzz, or feel to the place. It might sound a bit odd but there is a lot that goes into a ‘total’ experience and some things mean more to some then they do to others.
Type of food drink
This might sound like a really obvious thing to point out however, many people have agreed to go to a restaurant that their partner has chosen with the idea that they will get the food and drink that they like because, well everywhere serves a good burger, don’t they? Always check out the menu beforehand and choose your venue based on what the menu offers.
If you are unsure then you could always call to speak with the restaurant before you decide once and for all, to double check and, you never know, they might ask you if you have any specific requirements or requests that they can prepare for you, ready for your meal.
Value for money
If it’s a special occasion then it can be easy to get carried away and to forget about value for money, and who can blame you. Many people have actually regretted that process when the bill arrives or they wake up the next morning with a lot less money in their bank than they had intended to spend. You’ll want to strike a balance between getting good food at a reasonable price and expect to pay a little bit extra depending on where the restaurant is located.
