About Indira Rasoi Yojana
Indira Rasoi Yojana was started by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot ji. Under this scheme, the Rajasthan government will hire 358 cooks in 213 urban bodies so that they can provide two full means of nutritious food to the people of the state. Presently the number has increased to 1000 in the budget announcement. In September 2022 the Chief Minister of Rajasthan inaugurated 512 Indira Gandhi Rasoi in Jodhpur and presently the number has reached 870. These Rasois are operated by NGOs and there are more than 300 local NGOs selected by the District Level Coordination and Monitoring Committee under the chairmanship of District Collector.
