IMPORTANT UK VISA RULES
- Always keep additional documents like hotel bookings, flight bookings (tentative allowed), passport copies, etc. in hand.
- While going for interview, carry printed copies of passport, visa application form (signed by you) and visa fee receipt.
- It is advisable to apply for UK Travel Insurance and carry it with you. You can purchase it online.
- There is zero refund on visa fees if application gets rejected.
- You need to have at least 4000Pounds (3lacs) in savings bank account to avoid visa refusal.
- It takes 10days to process tourist visa.
- Your passport needs to have minimum 6month validity. If less, visa can get rejected.
- You can apply for visa only 3months prior to departure date.
- Note GWF Number on your application. It is required at appointment time.
- You will need to submit biometric details (digital face photograph and fingerprints) at your appointment center. It will be taken at time of appointment.
- Biometrics are necessary otherwise visa won’t be processed.
- The officer will go through your documents and ask questions during interview. Answer everything truthfully. Avoid hiding details or providing incorrect info.
Tourist Visa types:

- The Visa is applicable for visiting family and friends, leisure and tourism, for medical reasons and other non-business activities.
- T&C – rates differ as per season charges to get UK Visa from India.
As of 2021, you may have to quarantine yourself for 14days where you are staying or in government approved hotel. You will need to take 2 Covid tests after you arrive but need to book before you travel.
