Overview of MP Awas Sahayta Yojana
MP Awas Sahayta yojana was launched for the students studying in colleges. The scheme was implemented because there are many college-going students who are unable to get hostels and accommodations. The government of MP took the initiative and started the MP Awas Sahayata yojana for the students living in rented houses. Under this scheme, housing and financial assistance are provided to students who are pursuing diploma courses, graduation, or post-graduation.
Benefits of MP Awas Sahayta Yojana
- Under this scheme, assistance of Rs 1000–2000 will be provided.
- For 1 year, an amount of Rs 24000 is provided to the students living in rented houses.
- In the divisional headquarters of Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, and Ujjain, housing assistance is payable at the rate of Rs 2000.
- In other headquarters, housing assistance is payable at the rate of Rs 1250.
- In the development block headquarters, housing assistance is payable at the rate of Rs 1000.
- This scheme is applicable only to the SC and ST categories.
Purpose of MP Awas Sahayta yojana
The main objective of the MP Awas Sahayata yojana was to provide housing assistance to the SC/ST poor students at a rate of Rs 1000–2000 per month. MP Awas Sahayta yojana is operated by the scheduled tribe and scheduled caste welfare department for the welfare of the students who have to live on rent to complete their studies because in villages there are no colleges, and if a student wants to study further, they have to go out of their area. If you are a native of Madhya Pradesh, belong to the SC or ST caste, and are pursuing any diploma, graduation, or post-graduation degree, then you may get yourself registered under this scheme by filling out the online application form.
ELIGIBILITY
- The applicant student should belong to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe.
- The student must have taken admission as a regular student in government or recognized non-government colleges.
- Should not have taken admission in any government hostel.
- The applicant student should be living in a rented room or private hostel.
- The annual income of the family should be as per the income limit prescribed in the Post Matric Scholarship Scheme which is currently Rs 6 lakh per annum or should be less.
- The college or the native residence of the student should not be located within the geographical limits of the same local body (urban body/gram panchayat).

- Now the application form will open in front of you.
- After this, you have to read all the information asked in the application form carefully and enter it.
- Now you have to click on the submit button.
- In this way you can apply under Madhya Pradesh Housing Assistance Scheme.
